Applications & Submission Options

Application, Payment Authorization Form, and How to Submit:

New Business - Complete Application & Full Premium are required to bind coverage. RLI does not require copies of the underlying policies.

Note: RLI requires insureds to include all drivers AND household members ages 14 and older – permitted, licensed or not to be listed on the application. When insureds are applying for new or renewing coverage, it is imperative they disclose all information at that time. Please carefully review with your insured.

Submission Process

  • Paper Apps with Payment Authorization Form: Upload the scanned signed application and payment authorization form via Number One's secure portal below. Do not send copies of paper checks. 

  • RLI Portal: Quote, complete application & send secure email to insured to complete eSign/Pay online process.

Servicing Existing Policies

Access the RLI Portal to review policy status, download copies of forms and email forms to insureds.

Endorsements:

RLI does not make mid-term changes to the number of exposures. RLI reviews and updates the information during the insured’s renewal application process every year. The insured is required to complete a renewal questionnaire each year and is required to update the number of exposures that they ‘acquire or discard’ throughout the policy period at that time including any new or updated driver information. Exposures added or changed during the policy period that are not counted on the policy will be covered as long as the minimum underlying limits of liability are maintained.

Only the following endorsement requests listed below should be forwarded to us for processing:

  • Name Insured changes: The policy insured can consist of up to two named individuals (related or unrelated) residing in the same household. Policies cannot be endorsed to reflect the name of an Estate or Trust. (Send email to Grace Roche)
  • Mailing/primary address change of the insured. (RLI Change Request Form)
  • Requests to increase or decrease liability limit. (RLI Change Request Form)
  • Adding newly permit/licensed driver in household.* (RLI Change Request Form)
  • Requests to add or delete UM/UIM coverage. If adding UM/UIM – Parts 3 & 12 must match the required underlying limit on all autos. (RLI UM-UIM Purchase or Rejection Form)
  • Changes to the underlying automobile limit that is acceptable to RLI (i.e.: increase from 250/00 to 500/500 or vice versa). (RLI Auto Limits Change Form)

Cancellation Procedure

Completed LPR with Insured’s signature/date and Producer signature/date is required.

  • If the requested cancellation effective date is over 30 days, RLI will cancel back to 30 days.
  • Returned premium, if applicable, will be subject to a short rate factor of 10%.
