Finding and Fixing Coverage Gaps
Speaker(s): Bill Wilson, CPCU, ARM, AIM, AAM
There are two ways to resolve coverage and claims disputes...prevention and resolution. The presenter’s “When Words Collide” session focuses on resolving denied claims after the fact. This program focuses on preventing denied claims by addressing the three primary sources of coverage gaps: (1) failure to adequately identify loss exposures, (2) failure to properly insure or risk-manage those exposures, and (3) failure to quality-control policy deliverables. Included are numerous real-life coverage and claim examples, illustrations of potentially catastrophic overlooked exposures, and dozens of specific policy form coverage gap examples.
