In 2024, the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents conducted an Agency Compensation Survey with our members. Competitive compensation is vital to attracting and retaining employees. This is especially relevant in today's aggressive labor market, which is experiencing significant retirements coupled with the difficulty of attracting new and experienced employees to the insurance industry. This compensation data was solicited from all MAIA member agencies, with commission reviews ranging from $100,000 to more than $5 million and annual payrolls ranging from under $100,000 to over $5 million. The final Agency Compensation Report includes nearly 3,000 individual agency positions, and approximately 25% of MAIA members participated.
