Liquor: Crunch Time for Liquor Liability

Fall festivals, Holiday parties, January 1st renewals….Autumn is always crunch time for the liquor liability market. Be prepared! Avoid the stress of late submissions and lapsed coverage, and get these submissions in early. We will begin to reach out shortly with renewal applications.

Early October is also a good time to remind clients to budget for a Temporary Event policy when planning their holiday gatherings.

Remember we have markets for almost all business that sell liquor…restaurants, bars, package stores, bowling alleys, BYOB establishments,  caterers, convenience stores…and more.

E&O: E&O Every Which Way at the 2014 Big Event

Timely and RelevantThe end of the calendar year is in sight and that means two things:

1. The Big Event is coming soon.
2. Time may be running out to earn your E&O Loss Control Credit. (Are you a 1/1 renewal?)

We recomend checking your files to see if your agency has satisfied your loss control credit guidelines. Studies show that agencies that take loss control have a lower incidence of claim reporting. And regardless of your E&O ex-date, The Big Event 2014 is offering more E&O classes than ever before and they come at an exceptional value.

Here’s a run-down of all the E&O programs that will be offered:

Thursday, November 6th:

  • All Day E&O Intensive - E&O 2014 (Approved for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions insureds).

Friday, November 7th:

Saturday November 8th:

Know Your Carrier's Loss Control Credit Guidelines:
Utica’s Requirements - Big Event Notes: Utica Policy Holders must take at least 3 hours of E&O programming to qualify. (For example combine Social Media 1 and or 2 with the Mock Trial or take Avoiding E&O Claims)

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Requirements - Big Event Notes: Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Policy Holders are approved for the All Day Thursday Program E&O 2014 only.

Why it’s a deal?
The Big Event offers much more than just E&O. Attendees network with other insurance professionals, take part in the sold out Trade Show and have the ability to earn 15+ CE credits when attending the full convention. Attendees tell us that they return to the office refreshed and revitalized in their positions.

When E&O questions arise at your office, whether it's your policy, or the marketplace in general, we encourage you to contact Ellen Stoppel or Michelle St. Angelo in our E&O Department at 800.742.6363.
