October 2012
Number One Agency can’t wait to see you at this year’s Big Event. Because this weekend is so jam-packed, we hand selected some items we thought you might find beneficial.

"Meet your underwriter" at the Big Event. Underwriters from both Swiss Re/Westport and Utica will be joining us in the Trade Show on November 9th and 10th. Put a face to that name and stop by your underwriter’s booth on Friday or Saturday to say hello. Ed Falvey from Utica and Jen Leigland from Swiss Re love to connect with their Massachusetts Agents!

Speaking of underwriters, both Swiss Re and Utica recommend that agency personnel be up to date on their loss control classes. MAIA agrees. That’s why the Big Event has a whole track devoted to E&O.

For Westport & Utica Policyholders: E&O 2012
Join us for our popular full-day E&O program designed to explain the "actual" legal climate of the nation and how it is affecting agents'. (Pre-conference Intensive, Thursday, Nov. 8th)

For Utica Policyholders: Guess Who Is Suing Agents Today?
An in depth review of actual claims brought against agents and how you can avoid them.

NEW for 2012: Lessons learned while defending Insurance Agent's E&O
Highlights of the most frequent Errors and Omissions exposures with a discussion of common trends in Massachusetts.

Back by popular demand...don't miss the exciting E&O Mock Trial

Watch and learn while the audience plays the part of the jury in a mock agent's E&O trial.  Be entertained while you learn about our civil litigation system and decide who wins!
Outside of E&O, you might want to add these sessions to your schedule:

If you have any questions about your E&O policy or loss control credit, please contact the E&O Department at 800.742.6363 or email Ellen Stoppel or Michelle St. Angelo.
