Interactive Tool Estimates the Cost of Flooding
With spring upon our door, I was at FloodSmart.gov looking at an
article about how this winter may affect the potential for flooding
this spring. Personally, I view weather as a true unpredictable force.
I also believe that many people forgo the purchase of flood coverage
thinking it is already covered in their homeowner’s policy or that it
will never happen to them – or at least they hope it won’t. READ

Q&A - The Importance of Underlying Limits
Q: How important are underlying limits? Very!

encourage you to make your clients aware of this requirement.
Why? Failure to maintain the MINIMUM LIMITS OF LIABILITY can result in
either a significant gap in coverage or, in some instances, completely
negate coverage under the Personal Umbrella Liability policy. READ

In last month’s
newsletter we shared information about E&O Risks and Scrap Metal
Theft. The first sentence of the article stated: “The first MA E&O
Claim regarding the theft of scrap metal from a vacant building was
recently reported and closed with a payout just under $10,000.” That
should have said - "JUST UNDER $100,000". We apologize
for leaving off a zero! If you’d like to see the article again,
