This seminar will review the following: understanding the duties and obligations that an agency or brokerage owes to an insured; the best practices to follow with regard to the reporting of a claim or incident; the handling of the customer lifecycle, from marketing an account through the binding of coverage, to policy issuance and the renewal; how to protect the agency or brokerage from E&O claims and, while doing so, sell more insurance in the process; the best practices to follow when issuing certificates of insurance; and, minimizing exposures when dealing with Excess and Surplus lines markets. This Full-Day Pre-Conference Intensive includes the course, continuing education credits, Luncheon Buffet & the Young Agents Opening Reception. Attendance may qualify you for Loss Control Credit on your Swiss Re Corporate Solutions or Utica National Agents’ E&O Policy. (Names to be those we have for the program) 
Kathy Silvia CIC, CPCU, CPIW is Vice President of The Fair Insurance Agency in Centerville, MA. For over 25 years, Kathy has been working in the insurance field. She currently teaches personal lines and E&O seminars for MAIA. Kathy is Past-President of MAIA, Past-President of MAIW, and past National Director for National PIA. She has served as Chairperson for National PIA’s Technical Committee, as liaison to the ISO Personal Lines Committee and as Chairperson for the Board of CISR.
